This space specific to social justice. Police brutality, racism, sexism and so much more, and though turbulent times are a staple of history, there is something is different about the issues present to us, we can share these problems in society with a tap of a button. So quickly can a video become viral available to the world, this method of communication has brought a new reality to the lives of those close to us. For this reason, I'm trying to make a point of creating pieces that address these societal problems through digital art.

The basis of this piece was a union of the classical boat paintings old, rich people have and the refugee crisis. Rather than having the giant boat iconic of those oil paintings, I inserted a Syrian refugee inflatable ambiguously placed in the water unsure if it is heading towards the darkness or drifting away...
The written boarder moves from "ARE WE THERE YET?" in all caps to "Are we there yet?" to "arewethereyet" to "Home yet?" to "Home?" to "Where are we?", this composition follows any kid in the back seat, a universal of any kid no matter where they are from.
